Turning Ebay Dreams Into Reality

How far do you have to go to turn your dreams into reality?

Not far, says my friend and Internet legend Armand Morin. Not far at all. In fact sit down, right where you are and switch on that dusty old computer.

Here at your fingertips is the way to turn your dreams into reality.

Virtual business will do it.

At least it did for me and those that are open to learning , it involves just using some very lucrative but effective creativity.

Now we’ve all been told: don’t just listen to anyone! But when some one who made millions in just a few weeks on line says listen you tend to listen pretty carefully. And what he has to say is not rocket science it’s more like savvy with a capital ‘S’.

If you can grasp the idea of buying a fixer upper in the real estate market giving it a lick of paint, dressing it up a little, and selling it for twice the price, than you will relate to what to what a great concept this really is ?

We are finding a property - a cyber property - that’s a fixer upper. Then we are fixing it up… we are redesigning it. That’s all we’re doing. Not exactly difficult any one can do it?

When first introduced to the the system that allows you the opportunity to have fun while multiplying your profits by anything from two to ten times. You will find yourself thinking how come I never thought of that?. It’s a progressional product creation and when you hear the simple steps involved it makes it seem like straight common sense.

The first thing you do is go to eBay, click on the businesses for sale and look for the fixer uppers. So what exactly is a virtual fixer upper?

Well, the first thing you look for says is a sound product.

Something that people want. The best approach is all about getting the most for the least amount of effort.

You want to find something that is in high demand, that people are interested in right now and in an established market and something that is imminently affordable.

What you are looking for is into avoiding any pain. It must be quick, it must be easy and it must NOT bust the budget. That’s how it gets to be fun.

I have just brought another one of these fixer upper sites myself and you can see it at www.goodcreditrepair.com

I have only had this site a few days so still not got round to changing it

you might be thinking why bother but read on..

Once you zone in on the fixer upper with all these qualities you move right in and spend all of a few hours on some selective redesigning like adding an irresistible headline and a simple but persuasive sales letter.

Then you put the new improved site back up and do something audacious like double the price of the product or membership, place a few ezine ads and you’ve established a fixed monthly sum of anything from $1500 to $2000 which functions almost totally on auto pilot.

Now, because this takes you all of a couple of hours to get up and running, you can afford to get more inventive. You can brain storm your newly acquired site and engage in a little of that magical progressional product creation that will increase your sales with every creative tweak.

And all of this while you sit at your desk surfing the Internet and drinking a good cup of coffee.

Imagine that several hundreds of dollars from just a few short hours of work.

I can hardly wait to get another site it’s just so much fun …

Ebay And The Advent Of Cybercash

Gone are the days when only cash (or cattle in some cases) was the only accepted mode of payment for trades. As the concept of trading evolves, so does the means of paying for items.

Today’s electronic world pushes the envelop further. With the advent of online trading systems such as eBay, many new forms of payment have flourished.

First of all, on eBay, the mode of payment depends on the agreement of the buyer and the seller. Most often, the seller will specify his or her desired payment method. In these cases, the seller often has primacy in the decisions regarding payment modes. However, the buyer may still communicate with the seller regarding a viable alternative if it suits both parties.

The following is a list of common eBay payment modes.

Cash On Delivery
Cash is, after all, still cash. This payment method can be done through a third party courier system or by the buyer and seller meeting each other at an agreed place. The advantage of such is that the exchange of item for payment is done in the presence of the buyer and the seller (or the seller’s representative). However, some people will qualm over the risk present when two strangers meet.

Personal Check
One popular method of payment is personal check. Writing checks is easy and safe. However, many sellers do not like accepting check because they are easy to cancel.

PayPal
PayPal is the payment of choice on eBay. In fact, eBay owns PayPal.

Using PayPal is easy, convenient, and relatively safe. PayPal acts as like an internet ‘wire transfer.’

After signing up for PayPal, one may send cash over to anyone with an email address using the PayPal system. PayPal also has security features that safeguards against fraud in case there is dispute between the seller and the buyer. This system is best for transactions up to $1000.

Escrow.com
Escrow.com is the payment of choice for purchases over $500. Escrow.com holds the buyer’s money from the seller until the seller delivers the item. Only then will the funds be released to the seller. This system makes for a very safe, although highly procedural transaction.

Wire Transfer
This is the payment of choice for countries that do not carry the PayPal service. Wire transfers are risky because the buyer usually has to wire over the funds before the seller sends the items. The chance for non-delivery of items is high.

Other Payment Systems
The number of third party payment services is steadily on the rise. Their systems for payment vary. However, to be successful they must be convenient to use and safe as well.

Debt management

With January 2009 nearly upon us I started thinking about the likelihood of people needing help with personal finance issues. I’m thinking debt management here in particular . . . I imagine that many consumers will have over spent in the Christmas period and that a few will wake up with a bit of a financial hangover.

I put together a quick list of useful debt management resources where my readers will be able to find lots of useful information on personal debt and debt management issues. Please note that I’m not endorsing any of the resources . . . they’re just a list of useful websites I found when researching debt management.

The sites are a mix of commercial, not-for profit and informational resources offering a wide range of help and advice with debt management, including debt management plans, free debt management plans and general personal finance advice.

As ever, I’d suggest you use your own judgement when using this debt management resource list:

PS: from what I understand, debt management is the process of negotiating reduced monthly payments on your debts with your creditors. It appears that there are two or three routes you can take depending on your needs - professional services (fee payable), voluntary services & do it yourself:

The Drop Shipping Business

You have suddenly found the perfect business and you are all geared up to make lots of money. You have see the ads about Drop shipping and it sounds great.

Well of course it is great for some people! BUT will it be great for you?

Of course it will you think! Well think again its not as easy as it sounds and don’t be fooled into thinking you don’t need money.

First of all you start your search for drop shippers, Wow there is loads. Go on click on one or two.

That’s right you have a found a great drop shipper but first of all they want a joining fee, OK you join, now what! You find it is a list with loads of drop shippers you can use. This is even better, so you click on one or two, and lo and behold they want you to pay as well to sell their products!

Is it a wind up? No they really do, It might be just a few pounds or a lot of pounds. And then to make things worse some of them want holding fee to make sure you use their site. It could be £20 or £30 depending on which site you pick. They call it a trust.

OK you pay up again, but oh the disappointment when you see their sale products, Most of them are already advertised on Ebay and other auction sites, and when you check they are selling them at much cheaper prices than you could ever hope to do.

WOW again, you have found one that is really free to use, yes there are a few out there. BUT a slight drawback. They have a big warehouse, but evidently this warehouse only stocks one of each product or so it seems.

Ok you decide to have a go any way, perhaps you have chosen jewellery, so you go to Ebay and put a gorgeous gold ring on auction for five days. Great someone has made a bid, at the end of five days you find you have made a nice little profit. They pay up and off you go to warehouse to pay the cash so the ring will be drop shipped to the customer.

Oh dear they have run out of stock! not surprising when there was only one to start with. What do you tell your happy customer who thinks they have just got a bargain and they are eagerly waiting for it.

What a great start, your disgruntled customer leaves you negative feedback and wham that’s a black mark on Ebay.

So back you go and read every thing you can if they have a forum. What is the advice that you find, Purchase first to be sure of the product then put it for sale. So much for starting your business without having to spend.

If you can afford to purchase it then go ahead, it is a risk like anything else, but when you see hundreds of the same or similar on the auction you just have to hope that yours is the chosen one that they bid on.

Its quite true that some one some where will bid on anything, so instead of spending £10 or £20 on a piece of jewellery or whatnot, take a tenner and go to your nearest pound shop and buy ten items, see what you make on them.

That is my advice, take it or leave it. I bet you make a profit.

Having A Backup Plan For The Serious eBay Seller

December 27th, 2008 December 27th, 2008
Posted in My Auctions
Comments Off

Not a day goes past when I here of some seller frustrated that eBay have pulled their auction listing. It is very easy to violate an eBay listing guideline without knowing, the first you’ll learn about it is when you receive an email from eBay.

If it’s a serious violation or a number of smaller repeated violated eBay can & will close down or suspend your account. Don’t be fooled into thinking they need your revenue as a seller, I know of one eBay power seller who paid close to £25,000 per year to eBay in sellers fees & had his account closed overnight.

Firstly and most importantly familiarize yourself with all the selling guidelines on eBay. By doing things right first time, you’ll be less likely to have your auctions cancelled by eBay’s safe harbour team.

But let’s image the worse case scenario, you’re an eBay trading assistant or a professional seller dependant on eBay and overnight eBay close your account, pulling all your listings in the process. Overnight your business will disappear.

Don’t fool yourself that by sticking strictly to eBay guidelines you’ll avoid the hassle. You’ll have many competitors on eBay who will try and report you at some point, even if their accusation is false your listing may be pulled by an overzealous eBay employee.

Leaving eBay listing violations alone there are still potential hazards that may jeopardize your account or account status. Negative feedback, your account being hi-jacked, even forgetting your account password could cause massive delays to your business. If you get too much negative feedback, you may want to abandon the account altogether and start afresh.

eBay does allow you to have more than one registered account as long as it using another email address, so it is essential to have at least one backup account for emergency use. Keep one registered for a spare account and also remember to consider that eBay does not use allow certain selling features (Buy-It-Now, Featured Plus) to be used until your feedback is at a certain level - normally 10 for the most widely used features. It may be worth buying a few low priced items to get your feedback to the required level.

If you are suspended from selling eBay guidelines states the following:

“Members who are suspended are prohibited from registering new accounts with eBay, or bidding or selling on eBay using any existing accounts. eBay reserves the right to suspend existing accounts as well as new accounts opened by anyone in the same household of a suspended user or by any other associates of a suspended user.”

Now I’m sure that 99% of eBay sellers, especially serious sellers (like yourself) reading this would not violate rules to a degree where your account was suspended. And I’m not recommending you to continue selling on eBay even though your were suspended.

BUT, what I will say is in the unlikely event this did happen what would you do?

You have an obligation to your clients, yourself and your business to get things back on track as soon as possible. Having an eBay account registered in the name of a distantly located friend which you can use discreetly may allow you to keep your business long enough to sort out your original problem with eBay.

Some situations can be sorted out within hours, while others carry an automatic suspension for 30 days. Now, no business can afford to stop trading for 30 days & expect to carry on when the suspension is lifted as if nothing has happened. You’ll lose credibility, you’ll lose money and most importantly you will have lost a lot of clients.

8 Collectible Dolls That Sell Well on eBay

December 27th, 2008 December 27th, 2008
Posted in My Auctions
Comments Off

From the beginning, eBay’s primary growth came from the
collectibles market. There are two basic models for eBay
sales:

1. Currently available consumers goods. This is a price-
driven model, and although smart sellers can earn above-
average prices, buyers are there looking for a bargain and
price is the #1 consideration.

2. Other buyers are collectors, looking for one-of-a-kind
unique items that they can’t locate elsewhere. Here, price
isn’t as important as it is with consumer goods. The power
of this market is obvious because, before eBay and the
Internet, most collectors were confined to a local market.

Dolls have always been big sellers as eBay collectibles and
eight of them are especially strong sellers:

1. The Cabbage Patch Kids began in 1978 and are never
“sold”. They are ‘born’ at Babyland General Hospital in
Cleveland, Georgia and proud parents pay an ‘adoption fee’.
The Cabbage Patch Kids were one of the greatest toy
phenomenons of the later 20th century. At one time, it was a
common sight to see grown women shopping and lunching with
their babies in hand. In restaurants, the Kids had their own
chairs and were always appropriately dressed for the
weather.

2. Precious Moments began in the early 1970s when creator
Sam Butcher began drawing the endearing teardrop-eye
children as gifts for family and friends. Today Sam’s
Precious Moments artwork is among the most recognized in the
world, and eBay prices reflect this popularity.

3. Madame Alexander dolls were created in 1923. These
beloved dolls range from Charlie Brown to babies and
children to elegant dressed women to glamorous and famous
women like Greta Garbo and Judy Garland. With all the
varieties of costumes, a single doll can be a 1920s flapper
as easily as a member of the court of Louis XIV.

4. Lee Middleton dolls, according to legend, are so real in
appearance that grown men sent for a rescue squad to save
“the baby” from a locked car! Mistaken identity is
supposedly a frequent occurrence and the dolls have been
counted as “passengers” on airplanes and rescued from store
countertops to prevent the ‘baby’ from falling. As one happy
owner says, “These dolls are so lifelike it’s uncanny.”

5. American Girl dolls are loved by millions of little girls
(and grown ups, too!) They are not only from different times
and places, but are ethnically diverse: Felicity from
colonial Virginia; Josephina from the 1830’s in New Mexico;
Kirsten is “a pioneer girl of strength and spirit growing up
in Minnesota in 1854″; Addy is alive in the 186o’s, having
escaped from slavery with her mother; Samantha is “a bright
Victorian girl living with her wealthy grandmother in 1904″;
Kit is growing up in 193os, during America’s Great
Depression; Molly lives in the 1940’s while her dad is away
at war; Kaya is a Nez Perce Indian living in the northwest.

6. Hasbro dolls are one of the products of the gigantic
Hasbro company, who claim to have been making toys for eight
generations, including famous games like Monopoly, Scrabble
and Clue.

7. Bratz dolls, unlike older dolls like Madame Alexander and
Cabbage Patch Kids, have no long history as favorite toys or
collectibles. Nevertheless, their price has astonished eBay
sellers and the Bratz collection was one of the ’super hits’
of the 2003 holiday season and sales have been strong ever
since.

8. And, no surprise, Barbie is the best-selling doll on
eBay. Since Mattel has recently announced that Ken and
Barbie will no longer be an “item”, dolls from the ‘good old
days’ when the name “Barbie” was rarely heard without ‘Ken’,
will inevitably become more valuable.

Anyone who loves and understands the doll market, can do
very well selling dolls on eBay. They’ve been strong
sellers for the 10 years eBay has been in existence and are
almost certain to remain popular for years to come.

Summer Fashion 2006

December 27th, 2008 December 27th, 2008

Summer fashion 2006 will be exciting, and a bit different from previous seasons. If you are in doubt as to what is in fashion, take a look at your celebrities and you’ll see what is trendy and what is not! Summer Fashion 2006 will be cutting edge, trendy, and we’ll even see the return of some characteristics of fashions from generations past. All of these elements are sure to make summer fashion 2006 beautiful, exciting, as well as offering something for everyone.

First, it’s important to note that Brazilian is still in! Brazilian low rise jeans and low rise jean shorts will continue to be popular on the beaches and even on your favorite celebrities. These jeans show off great stomachs, great rear ends, and long legs! If you have been wearing the low rise jeans for awhile now and you want something new to wear, try the super low rise jeans that are also very popular right now! These jeans and jean shorts come in just about every wash and can be dressed up or dressed down so that they are appropriate for a trip to the beach or a night out on the town with the girls. Paired with a t-shirt or a lacey top, low rise jeans are a big fashion do this season!

Summer fashion 2006 will introduce three main silhouettes, which are the Hourglass; the classic 60’s a line, and the volume look. Accentuating the waist is in again, which will be seen in fashions that are meant to accentuate the hourglass figure of a woman. For so long we’ve been dipping below the waist or above the waist, but now we are also right at the waist and it’s a good thing because it makes the legs look longer and leaner. Volume is in right now, and dresses and skirts will likely be worn with more and more volume throughout the year. It is likely that this volume that we will see this season will continue into the next few seasons. Celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon have made these looks quite popular on the red carpet by wearing dresses that accentuate the waist but also have a very full look toward the bottom. Look out for more volume in the months to come!

Wide legged pants will also be in for the summer of 2006. Wide legged pants have been in and out for quite awhile, but we’ll see them again this summer. These pants can be made with a variety of materials, which makes them ideal for wearing them to the office as well as wearing them to the beach, depending on what they are made of. These wide legged pants can be accentuated with sequined belts, high heeled shoes, and a variety of other accessories that will either dress them up or dress them down. For hot days at the beach wide legged pants made from cotton will be perfect, but a polyester blend is also perfect for the office!

Long shorts or short pants are very in this season. We’ve seen fashions similar to this in the past, but they are definitely in this season for both work and play. This fashion trend may be short lived but right now they are a lot of fun. Many of them are form fitting and others are so wide and baggy that they almost look like skirts. Made in a variety of fabrics, this is another very versatile style that will be fun for everyone to wear and will flatter most figures.

Swimsuits will come in a variety of fashions in 2006, with the bikini still being a favorite. Bikinis are coming in a variety of fashions again this year with longer tops, short bottoms, and a variety of styles in between. The one piece is still around, but the bikini remains a favorite of the young and the old! With so many different patterns and styles emerging, just about every woman can find a great bikini to sport at the beach!

Jackets for those cool nights out will likely be short and fitted. There may also be a return of those cropped vests that we saw for awhile in the mid 90s that will be paired with everything from shorts to khaki dress pants. Duster style jackets will also be quite popular, especially as we move toward fall. By the end of summer it is likely that we will see a lot of short and fitted or duster style jackets.

Generally, summer fashion 2006 looks to be quite diverse and exciting. Everyone will find something that they will love, and perhaps something that they have worn in the past! We may be able to pull some stuff out of the back of our closets this year, which will be fun!

Diamond Wedding Rings

December 25th, 2008 December 25th, 2008

The diamond ring is presented as a symbol of love in marriage. Rings date back thousands of years and wedding rings have been identified because of words inscribed on the ring, documenting the marriage agreement endorsed before the emperor’s image. The importance of the wedding ring was clearly identified by the 7th century bishop Isidore of Seville as a sign of fidelity and something that enjoined two hearts as they pledged themselves in marriage. It was supposed to be worn on the fourth finger because it was believed that one particular vein flowed from there to the heart.

Many brides in these modern times, however, like to wear their engagement ring along with their wedding ring, on the same finger. Ring designers keep this in mind while creating rings; another thing they consider is that many women prefer symmetrically matching diamond rings with diamonds of the same size and shape.

Diamond wedding rings are pieces of jewelry that will probably be worn all the time, for a very long time to come. Besides, wedding rings reveal a person’s choice and style, even personality. There is one rule of thumb while choosing wedding rings: smaller rings match smaller hands, while the opposite naturally is true for big-boned hands.

Another trend that is catching on is matching wedding rings, featuring hand-made designs with diamonds for the lady and any precious stone to go with it for the gentleman. Some jewelers give customers the opportunity to design their own diamond wedding rings. They offer solitaire settings, three stone settings or multiple-stone setting with platinum, 18K white gold or 18K yellow gold, for example.

Wedding rings must be chosen with care because they will sit on people’s fingers as signs of love to be treasured, while being a constant reminder of wedding vows and mutual commitment to marriage.

Diamond Rings provides detailed information on Diamond Rings, Diamond Engagement Rings, Diamond Wedding Rings, Diamond Anniversary Rings and more. Diamond Rings is affiliated with Diamond Solitaire Engagement Rings.

Unsecured Personal Loan for People with Bad Credit

December 24th, 2008 December 24th, 2008

Being granted an unsecured personal loan is difficult(but not impossible) for people who have a blemished credit rating.

People apply for unsecured personal loans for several reasons. Some personal loans are used to cover the travelling expenses for the family vacation. Some personal loans are utilized to purchase a car or other expensive items. And some personal loans are used to consolidate debts.

Debt Consolidation and Credit Rating

A person who sees the need for consolidating their debts may already be having financial troubles. That is, they may already be making late payments for their other loan payments such as, utility bills and credit cards. But making late payments adversely affects their credit rating. And with a blemished credit rating, they may no longer get approved when they apply for an unsecured personal loan. But, does this mean that a person with financial troubles no longer has hope for achieving a better financial situation?

Fortunately, there are lending companies that may still approve the loan applications of people who have poor credit rating. These lending companies are the ones that must be approached by people with bad credit.

Loans for People with Bad Credit

People with bad credit may still get approval for applications for unsecured personal loans. This approval is granted only by a handful of lending companies that specially cater to this sector of the loans business. These lending companies offer loans to people who have arrears or CCJs (County Court Judgments). To find these lending companies, a person must look for phrases such as “bad credit is approved”.

However, such lending companies do not offer the lowest interest rates. In fact, those lending companies who offer the lowest interest rates are those that have a more stringent system of credit scoring. The lowest interest rates are granted only to loan applicants who have perfectly low-risk credit ratings. In other words, a person with bad credit may opt for a type of loan which entails a higher interest rate.
