Detox Your Body with a Seven Day Brown Rice Diet

A 7 day brown rice detox is one of the easiest forms of body detoxing for the inexperienced because it furnishes the body with nutrients, cleanses the body in a gentle way (thereby producing little or no detox side effects) and doesn’t imply fasting from food as a juice cleanse can.

In the brown rice detox diet, you only consume brown rice for three to seven days. You won’t suffer the problem of being hungry or having low blood sugar. You can flavour your brown rice with miso or Bragg’s Amino Acids, similar to soy sauce but much healthier since it merely contains natural sodium. A little miso paste with ginger powder and garlic powder will add variety to your brown rice diet. Other herbs for flavoring are also suitable, however, be moderate. For a little heat, add a pinch of chilli pepper pepper. You can also use a bit of agave nectar, maple syrup or brown rice syrup for a sweet choice. But only do this once a day, if at all.

In order to keep your blood sugar levels stable, eat 5 or 6 small portions of brown rice each day. For convenience, you can prepare one or two day’s worth of rice at one time. Here’s how to cook brown rice.
